Art to me is a way of communicating through colors that's inspiring, healing and transformative.

Welcome to my studio! I'm Michelle Green, an expressive nature inspired portrait painter. I currently reside in Orlando Florida where I continue to grow my art business. My aim is to explore themes of female empowerment, intuition, creative expression, and the healing power of nature. Working at an Aviary Clinic in high school helping sick parrots, created a deep love for birds and animals.

Michelle's Style

Michelle's style is expressive nature based with a focus on animals (specifically birds) and abstraction. Her color story and technique are deliberate manifestations of the feeling that she wants to portray. She uses real flowers, texture, gold leaf, holographic foil, and inks to guide viewers in through visual storytelling. She is always looking for new ways to explore by learning new techniques and through experimentation and play. Some of her techniques include drips, loose brushwork, heavy texture, collage, mark making, and glazing. There’s a sense of awe and wonder that you take with you when you contemplate her work. The best part is when you see the process video that she posts on social media, you get a chance to experience the magic and leave with newfound inspiration.

Michelle hopes to inspire people and provide a sense of cathartic healing when viewing her paintings. Her aim is to captivate people through the rhythms of life, nature, our emotions, connection with spirit, and animals. Just like music moves us through melody, tempo, rhythm, and harmony, so too does visual art with all its elements, color, composition, texture, and value in each of her pieces. The artwork is meant to captivate all your senses, uplift, and inspire.

The "Why" Behind The Art

Art gives us purpose and allows us to get closer to our divinity connecting with the spirit and

of the soul when words are not enough. When I am creating a piece, what excites me the most is that I’m drawing upon these energies that almost seems like a dance on the canvas.

My movements and color placement seem to have a mind of its own which is why I think this process can be so intuitive. My paintings spark a powerful journey into the soul and mind, it's a fabrication of one’s free will. It's all about connection to higher parts of ourselves as well as our connection to spirit.

Humble Beginnings

Michelle Green is originally from Camden, NJ and moved down to Florida around 10 years old. In high school she was involved in the magnet program where she was part of video yearbook, video editing, photography, drama club, and newspaper. Being accepted at FAU prepared her for a field in visual arts.

After graduation she became a self taught acrylic painter which lead to her opening up her own online art gallery, combining her love of art and marketing.
